PRESS RELEASE: BCC Receives Second Grant from the CCNY to Enhance and Advance the Voices of Black Professionals

Washington, DC – The Black China Caucus Association (“BCC”), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing and advancing the presence and participation of Black China professional through advocacy, community building, and professional development, is honored to announce it has been awarded a $40,000 grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York (“CCNY”).
Since its founding in March 2020, the mission of BCC has been to build a coalition and community of Black China professionals as well as highlight issues of underrepresentation and exclusion. Over the past three years, BCC has worked tirelessly to offer its members resources for navigating careers in a China-related discipline. With this award, BCC will continue growing its mentorship program, internal and external events, and collaborative opportunities with organizations and professionals within the industry.
“The mission of BCC has always been to highlight, advocate, and support Black voices in the China space,” says BCC Co-CEO and Co-Founder, Dr. Keisha Brown. “With CCNY’s support, we feel grateful and humbled to be given the opportunity to do what we are so passionate about.”
